Help them get what they want and need. How to get what you want in life? “The great motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, has said, ‘You can get anything you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want" I see business after a business fails because they want to sell its product or service but fail to see what the market actually wants. What do people want? I am going to share with you exactly how to allow your prospects to tap into their preexisting motivation to almost completely sell themselves. Find out what people want and help them get it. This simple truth will help you soar not just get by. This is how you sell high-ticket items and make sure your service or product is always in demand. The simple key of listening is going to help you. Understanding your client's motivation is going to be the fuel that helps you unlock the treasure chest. I believe no matter how persuasive, good-looking smooth you think you are you can not motivate someone to do something or buy something unless that motivation is already there. So you are on a search to discover what motivates them. What is their why. What drives this person? Everyone is different. I have learned this from coaching sports baseball and football. I use to always wondered how come to some kids just have what it takes to go to that next level and push themselves and how come others don't. I believe everyone has the ability to go to that next level you just have to discover what makes them tick. Is it praise and recognition, is it conditioning, is it playing for a grandma or grandpa who has passed, is it for a piece of chocolate, or maybe it's for their parents or to get out of poverty? I saw this when I played in the Dominican. They loved the game and it was a part of their culture but what drove many of these young men was it was their view of how to "make it" and get out of poverty. Give their families food on the table. Maybe that's why you see so many Dominicans in the MLB their motivator is bigger than themselves. How you apply these concepts to sell anything in a recession is simply to listen, discover and help.
